The Finance Division has been using a computer based accounting system from 1st January 1996. Sending statements of monthly accounts to the treasury is also computerized with effect from January 1997. Consolidation of mission accounts with ministry accounts under the expenditure head 260 of the Ministry of External Affairs, to be accounted in the Treasury is also computerized and transferred to the Treasury.
