General Administration Division (GAD) is responsible for all matters related to personnel of the Ministry other than officers of the SLFS with the exception of recruiting officers to the Combined Services.

The GAD conducts various Human Resource Development programs throughout the year. In addition to these it makes arrangements for the maintenance of buildings, office equipment and motor vehicles.

The provision of supply and services is also part of GAD's responsibility. The sections coming under GAD are Transport, Dispatch, the Library and the Stores.
